Glenn J. Marie, DDS, is the owner of Dentistry for Children, a pediatric dental practice based in Staten Island, New York. As part of his ongoing work in the field, Glenn J. Marie DDS is an active member of several professional dental organizations, including the American Dental Association.
The American Dental Association (ADA) recently announced George Lewis Mitchell, Jr., DMD, as its newly elected second vice president. Dr. Mitchell’s election to the post was finalized earlier this year in Denver during an ADA House of Delegates gathering.
Dr. Mitchell will serve as a key member of the ADA’s board. In that role, he will have a strong voice in recommending the policy and program initiatives that will eventually be presented to the organization’s House of Delegates for approval.
A member of the ADA for more than 40 years, Dr. Mitchell has held numerous leadership roles with the ADA, as well as a stint in the organization’s House of Delegates. He also has held previous leadership roles as president of both the Alabama Dental Association and the Alabama Academy of General Dentistry.
